Western Beef Association is bringing two workshops to the Esperance region covering Better Hay and Silage: Improving Productivity and Resilience.
There is a choice of 2 dates - Friday 19 July or Monday 22 July. Venues are to be confirmed, but we plan to hold them on farms, one on the east side of town and one more to the west.Â
 This interactive workshop, facilitated by two specialists, will feature:
- Time of cutting - quality vs. yield
- Crop and pasture differences
- Best practice steps for great hay and silage outcomes
- Storing and feeding-out, avoiding waste
- Interpreting feed tests
- Stock class requirements and effective allocation
- Cost effective decisions
Time: 9 am - 4 pm
Cost:
- Western Beef Financial Members: $25
- Non-members: $ 55
Registration includes:
- Lunch, morning and afternoon tea
